Reinstatement of a License
Hi , Everyone,
Today I had a gentleman in my office who took a trip to a Sarasota Exam Preparation (not BEES or CEI or Mark Paloski) school that helped him license 4 times, starting back in 1976. 4 times they took his money. He came to my office today after spending over $3200 for books and classes for a contractor’s license that he held once before.
I asked him why he wasn’t spending $100 for a reinstatement of his license.
You realize what I just said, right? This poor man just threw away over $3,000 for a test he doesn’t have to take because the exam prep school he trusted didn’t tell him that it would be easier and SO much less expensive to reinstate his license. One could justify it by saying that business is business, but we aren’t talking $50 for a pair of shoes…We’re talking money that could be used for this man to start up his business again. That money would pay his liability insurance for the year and then some!
That’s it…I am going to start selling books and developing study materials. I am so disgusted by predatory schools! I am not perfect, but I am not predatory…The Golden Rule is the ONLY rule to live by.
